CONNX Data Synchronization

The CONNX Data Synchronization module is change data capture software that captures incremental changes and delivers them at user-defined intervals to a data warehouse in a fraction of the time full updates typically require.

CONNX Data Synchronization works in conjunction with the multi-platform CONNX Distributed SQL Engine and its wide array of database adapters to capture changes from single or multiple data sources.

CONNX Data Synchronization change data capture is low impact and non-invasive. It creates its own index of changed data and scales perfectly with the CONNX SQL Engine.

Complex legacy data structure is removed from Business Intelligence applications, enabling developers and application architects to concentrate on data capture processes and presentation rather than database formatting.

The CONNX Data Synchronization change data capture software is ideal for migration projects, supporting Business Intelligence, or event-driven Business Process Management applications where legacy data from non-relational databases in production environments must be joined with relational data.

Features

Full Reloads
Purges all prior snapshot data in the data warehouse and replaces it with a completely new snapshot of the data. Each file in the synchronization process may be scheduled independently, or as a group.

Incremental Updates
Detects which records have been added, deleted, or changed, and inserts, updates, or deletes the corresponding data in the data warehouse snapshot tables. Each file in the synchronization process may be scheduled independently, or as a group. Benchmark results show incremental updates are up to 4 times faster than full reloads.

Scheduling
A complete scheduler is built into the CONNX Data synchronization tool. The scheduler service runs data synchronization jobs at the appropriate time.

Task Execution
Tasks can be triggered to run before and/or after a synchronization job runs. Different tasks can be executed depending on the success or failure of a synchronization job. These tasks can be assigned globally, or with an individual synchronization job.

Benefits
  • Eliminates "homegrown" solutions that are difficult and costly to maintain.
  • Eliminates the need for extracts, thus saving time and money.
  • Eliminates "manual" steps in the data synchronization process; everything is automated.
  • Minimizes project risk.
  • Minimizes computer resources.
  • Streamlines time to populate target data source.
  • Decreases update times significantly.
