CONNX for Sybase
CONNX for Sybase provides secure, real-time, read/write access to Sybase using 64-bit and 32-bit ODBC OLE DB JDBC and .NET. In conjunction with other CONNX modules, you can perform seamless joins between two or more supported disparate databases.
With CONNX for Sybase, a single metadata model can be created that spans all enterprise data sources and applications requiring data access. The result is an enterprise-wide view of data that provides a reusable, standards-based framework for information access.
The CONNX distributed SQL engine reduces the workload placed on the Sybase database server by performing CPU intensive operations on the PC, while allowing the database engine to perform tasks for which it is best suited.
CONNX imports the metadata directly from Sybase and supports the creation of views, which facilitates hiding table relationships from the end user. CONNX views facilitates the creation of heterogeneous joins between multiple disparate databases.
All members of the CONNX family have the following features:
RMS, Oracle Rdb, VSAM, IMS, C-ISAM, D-ISAM, Micro Focus, DB2, Oracle, Oracle DBMS, Dataflex, POWERflex, SQL server, Sybase and any OLEDB or ODBC data source.
CONNX is used by more than 3000 organisations world-wide to enable web/application development, data warehousing, business intelligence, data synchronization, enhanced reporting and data migration.
